01. WHAT IS NEET?

National Eligibility cum Entrance Test – Undergraduate

NEET (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test – Undergraduate) is India’s major entrance examination for admission to undergraduate medical and related courses.

NEET is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). NEET scores are used for admissions to courses such as MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BHMS, BUMS and BSMS, subject to the applicable rules of the respective authorities.

02. NEET ELIGIBILITY

Students should generally meet the applicable NEET eligibility requirements, including:
  • Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Biotechnology as qualifying subjects
  • Completion of Class 12 or appearing in the qualifying examination, as permitted under the applicable rules
  • Minimum age of 17 years by 31 December of the admission year
  • No upper age limit under the current NEET eligibility provisions
